PARLIAMENTARY FRIENDS OF SUSAN MAY

 

Open Meeting at the House of Commons

Chaired by John McDonnell M.P Hayes and Harlington

Tuesday 30th November 2010..6.30p.m – 8.30p.m

 

In light of the CCRC's refusal to send the case of Susan May  back to the Court of Appeal and the growing concern and dissatisfaction from many sectors, John McDonnell M.P invites you to this open meeting to meet with Susan and her friends and hear from the named speakers who now argue that the CCRC is no longer fit for purpose.

 

SPEAKERS:

 Dr Michael Naughton.  Founder and Director of INUK (Innocent network UK)

 

Bob Woffinden. Investigative journalist and campaigner, specialising in miscarriages of justice

 

Mark Newby.  Solicitor and Director of HAAP.(Historical Abuse Appeal panel)

 

Henry Blaxland Q.C President of CALA (Criminal Appeal Lawyers Association)

 

Gabe Tan  Head of casework, Innocence Network U.K (INUK)

I am sorry that I have only just heard about you. I have been writing to my MP about Jeremy Bamber's case and shall invite her to take an interest in yours too.

I have commitments on the date of your meeting but may be able to come late.

Just wanted to pop by after seeing you on North West tonight to add my support. My friend is going through something similar and after 8 years in prison for a crime he did not commit we are getting very frustrated with the appeals system and the way the CCRC goes about blocking cases back to court. Anyway good luck with your struggle and remember the one who knows the truth is higher than any judge, jury and court....
